Fat Pig by Neil LaBute
February 25, 26, March 2-5 at 7:30 p.m. and March 6 at 1:30 p.m.
Redfield Studio Theatre

Fat Pig is a gripping play by Neil LaBute, a playwright, who continues to face down ugly truths of our society. LaBute’s play gives us the story of Tom, an in-shape professional in a large city, who falls for a very plus-size librarian named Helen. Tom is taken with her brash acceptance of the way people see her and her honesty, even as he struggles to accept her appearance himself. Helen eventually gives him an ultimatum—either accept all of her or end the relationship. The play ends with trademarked LaBute shock. (7 performances—February/March)

A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare
April 15, 16, 21-23, 28-30 at 7:30 p.m. and May 1 at 1:30 p.m.
Redfield Proscenium Theatre

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is Shakespeare’s classic adventure of four young Athenian lovers, a group of amateur actors, and their interactions with the Duke of Athens and the Queen of the Amazons. It all takes place in a moonlit forest with a famously funny “ass-inine” transformation performed by mischievous faeries. (9 performances—April/May)
